México´s privileged geographical condition places it among the top 12 countries with the greatest biodiversity in the world. The great Mayan rainforest located in the states of Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatán produces a third of all Mexican honey.

Our beehives are immersed deep in the jungle of the mexican Yucatan Peninsula. By providing bees with a well preserved habitat we take advantage of the therapeutic essence of plants and flowers of these rainforests. They are located far from any farm or crop that may contaminate honey with pesticides or other chemicals.

The wide variety of wildflowers gives our honey its special flavor.

For the past 5 years, our small supplier has worked with small cooperatives of Mayan beekeepers, training them on organic and good manufacturing practices.

In total they have 56 organic certified beekeepers and 33 in process of certification, who take care of more than 5,400 bee colonies. Our honey's quality depends on conservation of this biodiversity, and the care beekeepers take at harvesting and packing. They use traditional honey extraction techniques as well as modern handling and packaging practices.

Our supplier works hand in hand with them with fair trade practices and constant training.
